The Free Explorer plan gives you 5 Lulu Coins (enough for approximately 1 story), access to all illustration styles and story types, 100+ languages, 1 character per story, and PDF download.

What are Lulu Coins?

Lulu Coins are the credits used to generate stories and illustrations. 1 coin = 1 illustration. A typical story uses 5–10 coins depending on length, and adding a character costs 2 coins. Coins restock monthly with your subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes — you can cancel with one click, no questions asked. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

What happens to my stories if I cancel my subscription?

Your stories don't disappear. If you cancel, you keep access to all stories you've already created and can continue to read and share them. You just won't be able to create new stories until you reactivate a plan. Any downloaded PDFs are yours to keep forever.

Do unused Lulu Coins roll over to the next month?

Lulu Coins reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. We recommend using your coins before your renewal date to get the most out of your plan.

What is your return and refund policy on printed books?

Because every book is custom-printed just for you, we're unable to accept returns for change of mind. However, if your book arrives damaged or with a printing error, we'll replace it or issue a full refund — just contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the issue.
